美资本地化服务商倡以电贸攻一带一路

Translate Now始创人兼首席执行官Matt Arney表示,不建议企业投放大量资源去打造本地化网站,因为用户不常直接到访企业网站

总部位于美国三藩市的本地化服务供应商Translate Now指出,国际企业进军中国时应采取本地化策略,例如开拓电贸平台,将更容易与「一带一路」相关的客户接轨。

Translate Now始创人兼首席执行官Matt Arney接受亚洲时报(ATimes.com)访问时表示,在中国市场,95%的互联网用户都会花大量时间于微信、微博和阿里巴巴的电贸平台,而不会直接到访企业网站。因此,企业应在这些平台上设立窗口,而不是投放大量资源去打造本地化网站。

Arney续指,Translate Now早前也有参与赞助在美国底特律举行、以「连接世界」(Gateway’ 17)为主题的「美国中小企业论坛」,并邀请到阿里巴巴集团董事局主席马云出席,介绍如何在中国直销美国产品,其中一个方法就是在阿里巴巴旗下的天猫国际(TMall Global)开设企业帐号。例如美国西北樱桃协会(Northwest Cherry Growers)去年曾经以50架波音777飞机付运产品到中国;而去年阿里巴巴在双十一节的180亿美元销售量中,也包括美国零售商好市多(Costco)、运动品牌耐克(Nike)和安德玛(Under Armor),以及1.4万多个国际品牌。

Arney在创立专门为客户提供本地化和文档内容翻译服务的Translate Now前,曾是日本软件分销商act2.com的联合创始人,其后在北京参与创立本地化服务供应商CSOFT。
