Abandoned baby girl endures night of rat bites
A case has been registered against the mother of the infant, who was left in front of a bungalow in Mumbai on Sunday night
A four-day-old girl was found abandoned in front of a bungalow in Mumbai on Sunday morning. The bungalow owner alerted the police, who took her to Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation Hospital.
According to reports, in the early hours of Sunday, Daisy Dabre, who lives near Rojmari Chawl on Chulna Road in Vasai (West), heard the infant’s cries and alerted her husband, who informed the police. Officers rescued the child, who had been bitten by mosquitoes and rats throughout the night.
A case has been registered against the mother, the Hindustan Times reported. It is believed to be a case of unwanted pregnancy.
