Car accident injures six in Singapore’s Little India
An accident involving a police car and a taxi injured a hostel guest, a pedestrian, two police officers and two passengers in the taxi
Six people aged between 22 and 48 were injured when an accident between a police car and a taxi occurred on Sunday night in Singapore’s Little India ethnic district.
A video posted online showed the badly damaged police car and the taxi. The taxi appeared to have left a trail of liquid on the road.
Besides two police officers and two taxi passengers who were hurt in the crash at 10:33pm on Perak Road, two others who were nearby were injured. It is unclear how the accident occurred, The Straits Times reported.
According to Shin Min Daily News, one of the injured was a female Filipino hostel guest, while a male Singaporean pedestrian was also hurt. Three ambulances were deployed to the area and took the six people to hospital.
The police are investigating the accident.
