Hong Kong woman among 23 killed in Nepal plane crash

Rescue teams in Nepal on Wednesday found the burnt-out wreckage of a passenger plane that went missing in a remote mountainous area with 23 people on board, the aviation minister said.
They recovered bodies of 19 passengers when rescue operation had to be suspended for the day because of snowfall.
All the passengers, including three crew members and two children, aboard the Tara Air Twin Otter turboprop aircraft were confirmed dead. Among them were a Hong Kong woman Mak Siu Ying and a Kuwaiti national Ralrashed Ahamad Aa.
The aircraft 9N-AHH aircraft was found in the western district of Myagdi and bodies could be seen scattered around it.
Tara Air said the Twin Otter had lost contact with air traffic control eight minutes after taking off from the tourist town of Pokhara at 7.50 am on Wednesday. Read More
