Meanwhile, Parent Herald dropped another dampener that Descendants of the Sun Season 2 is coming very soon but without its main stars Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo that made DOTS a grand success.
Their fans were elated when it was announced that Descendants of the Sun Season 2 is on the anvil but it later turned out to be a major disappointment after it was rumoured that the stars will not be playing the main roles in the sequel. In fact, it was Jung So-ho, KBS Drama Department president and the creator of the super-hit Korean drama, who said that Descendants of the Sun Season 2 is coming and it would likely come in 2017.
However, fans cannot celebrate the confirmed return of Descendants of the Sun as rumor mills are spreading that the upcoming instalment will not be a sequel to the first.
