Medical drama “Doctors” had an explosive start on Monday and surpassed its record the next day, dominating the Monday prime-time.

According to data from local researcher Nielson Korea, the first episode of the medical-themed romantic drama that was aired on Monday recorded a 12.9 percent in viewership ratings nationwide. Tuesday’s episode of the SBS’s drama took 14.2 percent. It stars Park Shin-hye and Kim Rae-won. It topped the rankings for two days in a row.

MBC’s revenge series “Monster” came second at 11.1 percent on Tuesday, followed by KBS 2TV’s medical drama “Beautiful Mind” with 4.5 percent.

In comparison, the ratings for the last episode of “Jackpot” was just 10 percent.

“Doctors” has the highest ratings so far of all the current Monday-Tuesday dramas. But will it attain the “Descendants of the Sun” glory? “Descendants of the Sun” aired its finale in April and garnered 38.8 percent rating. Wait and watch!
