Ex-migrant worker arrested for drug use in front of baby
The woman said she and her husband were having marital problems which she blamed as the reason she was using drugs
A former Filipino migrant worker was arrested on Tuesday for using illegal drugs in front of her 11-month-old baby in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, in the Philippines.
In a surveillance video released by the Sta. Rosa Police, Marissa Cordoviz, 41, was fimed using methamphetamine in front of her 11-month-old child, The Filipino Times reported.
According to Cordoviz, she and her husband had been having problems, which she claimed was the reason she used drugs. She admitted it was a mistake using drugs in front of her child. Police recovered sachets of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Cordoviz was arrested at her home and her child was transferred to the social welfare department of Sta. Rosa. The child will undergo clinical observation.
