Expect upside surprises from China trade data this month: Goldman Sachs

Analysts see upside risk for China activity data to be released this month.

March 7, 2017 12:26 AM (UTC+8)

China will release February data for trade, inflation, money and credit, and January/February combined activity data over the next several weeks. Goldman Sachs analysts expect stronger than expected numbers for industrial production, faster producer price index inflation, and firm credit growth. The upside risk for the China activity data also means upside risk for commodities.
