Facebook lifts South Korea virtual reality firms

The US social media giant will provide assistance to Korean VR startups

Facebook and South Korea’s government have linked up to help promising local startups in virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) gain footholds in the global market.

The agreement allows the startups to pitch business ideas to Facebook and receive other assistance from the social media giant. They also will get mentoring advice from Facebook’s VR platform Oculus.
