Filipino dance group advances in ‘America’s Got Talent’
The dance group of former street children in the Philippines has a chance of winning US$1 million
An all-male Filipino dance group has advanced to the live shows in the 13th season of America’s Got Talent. Junior New System earned a spot in the next round of the competition after impressing the judges with their performance in 6-inch (15-centimeter) heels, Zeibiz reported.
The group, who were street children in the Philippines and have been dancing together for nine years, performed numerous backflips and stunts while wearing heels, and their performance was well received by the audience and judges.
Junior New System is the only act from the Philippines and one of only two acts from Asia in this year’s AGT competition. The group has a chance of winning US$1 million.
The group will return on the show to perform live at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on August 14.
