Filipino helping sick compatriot in Kuwait connect with family
The sick woman suffered a stroke and had no one to take care of her while she was in the hospital
A Filipino domestic worker is trying to help a compatriot who suffered a stroke in Kuwait to connect with her family back home in the Philippines.
On Saturday, Isturis Delacruz Robertocuadrante Yheng posted on Facebook that a fellow Filipino named Helen Bernal Fernandez, 45, had suffered a stroke and was confined in Al Adan Hospital in Kuwait.
Yheng said she met Fernandez when her employer was admitted to the same hospital. Yheng said she felt pity for Fernandez as she had no one to take care of her.
Yheng hopes that her Facebook post will reach the Philippine Embassy so that help will be given to Fernandez, who wants to return home to the Philippines and be with her family.
Yheng’s Facebook post has had more than 12,000 shares since Saturday.
