A maid from the Philippines was arrested on Monday for alleged abuse of a young boy in Kowloon.
When the boy’s 36-year-old mother, surnamed Fan, returned home at 10pm to Tak Ku Ling Road in Kowloon City, she found her five-year-old son had a red and swollen mark on his face, Apple Daily reported.

The woman checked footage from surveillance cameras installed at her home and found the maid, aged 34, allegedly struck her son at 4pm.
The woman reported the case to the police and sent her son to hospital for a checkup.
Police arrested the maid for suspected child abuse, Oriental Daily reported. Officers of the criminal squad at Kowloon City district are following up the case.
