Filipino maid arrested for injuring employer’s daughter

The 37-year-old domestic worker is accused of pushing the 10-year-old after the youngster criticized her for putting things in the wrong place

A 37-year-old Filipino domestic worker was arrested in a North Point flat on Hong Kong Island early on Tuesday morning after pushing her employer’s 10-year-old daughter who injured her head.

When the employer surnamed Wong, 37, returned to his Kai Yuen Street home at 1am, his daughter said the helper pushed her to the floor and her head hit the corner of a bed, Apple Daily reported. The father called the police and took his daughter to the hospital.

An initial investigation found the maid quarreled with the mans daughter, who criticized her for putting things in the wrong place, Headline Daily reported. The maid was arrested over suspected child abuse.
