Filipino murder suspect on the run arrested in California
The man and three others are charged with murder, robbery and kidnapping a 20-year-old father and are being held without bail
A Filipino man accused of murdering a 20-year-old father in southern California has been arrested. On May 31, Matthew Luzon Martin Capiendo, 21, and three others – Hercules Balaskas, Jacob Elmendorf and Francisco Amigon, all 19 – were charged with murder, robbery and the kidnapping of Julian Hamori-Andrade, ABS-CBN News reported.
The four reportedly attacked Hamori-Andrade in Capiendo’s home. They then pushed him into a pickup truck and drove to Azusa Canyon where they beat the man to death and threw his body onto Highway 39.
Balaskas, Elmendorf and Amigon have already been arrested are being held by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. On Saturday evening, Capiendo was arrested after being on the run for one month. Police arrested Capiendo as he was leaving a movie theater in Montebello and he is being held in prison without bail.
