Filipino workers from Hawaii killed in Philippines car crash
One of the victims had returned home for his wedding that was supposed to be held on Thursday
Two Filipino migrant workers based in Hawaii were killed and six others were injured in a car crash in Ilocos Norte in the Philippines.
At 1:25am on Wednesday, Tristan Lorenzo, Christian Philip Agravante and six others were on their way to Laoag City when their van crashed in Bacarra, GMA News reported.
Lorenzo and Agravante were killed in the crash while the other six passengers were injured. Agravante had recently returned to the Philippines for his wedding which was supposed to be held on Thursday.
The six injured, Aristotle Riveral, 21, Jhumer Cristobal, 24, Whilly Porillo, 18, Aervelle Cylde Pascua, 23, Aerolle Khave Pascua, 22 and Ryan Martinez, 31, were taken to hospital for treatment.
According to the police, Martinez, who was driving, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash into an arch.
