Foreign female banker falls to death in Happy Valley
The woman is the second expatriate banker to have died after high-rise plunge in past week, with pressures of work cited in both cases
A 49-year-old British woman, who worked in Hong Kong as a banker, fell to her death from an apartment in Happy Valley in Hong Kong Island on Thursday morning.
At 7.25am, the woman’s body was found on a platform above a carpark in Hawthorn Garden on Sing Woo Road, Apple Daily reported. She was certified dead at the scene.
The woman, a tenant of the building, was upset due to work matters, Oriental Daily reported, citing unidentified sources. She was working at a US bank.
She was married to an Indian husband with three children.
Police ruled out any foul play following an initial investigation, although are still searching for a suicide note.
