Foreign holdings of Korean stocks hit record high
European buyers led surge in April, though US and Asian investors decreasesd exposure
According to data released on Thursday, foreign investor holding of stocks listed on Korea’s KOSPI and KOSDAQ exchanges reached a record high of US$482 billion, reports Business Korea.
European investors led a surge of foreign purchases in April, which totaled US$1.2 billion. Foreign bond holdings recovered to US$88.43 billion, a level last seen in January 2016.
