Germany seeks to hire 400 Filipino nurses
The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration is accepting applications until February 28
The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) is now accepting applications to fill 400 nursing positions in Germany.
In a statement, POEA said recruitment for the posts is being done under the Triple Win Project, POEA’s joint initiative with the German Federal Employment Agency, which will place nursing professionals in different parts of Germany.
POEA said applicants must be Filipino citizens, male or female, and have a bachelor’s degree in nursing and an active Philippine Nursing License. They must also have at least two years’ professional experience in hospitals, rehabilitation centers and/or care institutions.
“Applicants must have German language proficiency or be willing to undergo German language training in the Philippines,” POEA said.
Successful applicants will have a starting monthly salary of €1,900 that will be increased to € 2,300 after recognition as a qualified nurse. POEA said the employer will shoulder the visa fee and airfare from the Philippines to Germany and will assist the employee in finding suitable accommodation.
“The selected nurse will bear the expenses (of board and lodging) in full or in part,” POEA said.
POEA’s central and regional offices will be accepting applications until February 28, 2019. Those who qualify will be interviewed by employers in March.
