Girl dies after being ‘pushed’ from third floor of school
15-year-old's parents lodge police complaint but no suspect identified
The parents of a 15-year-old girl who died after falling from the third floor of Modern City Montessori School in Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria district on Monday morning allege that she was pushed, according to media reports. However, they did not identify in their police complaint the person they believed to be responsible.
A police officer said, “The interval time of the school (10 am-11 am) was about to end and some students on the ground floor spotted the girl falling from the third floor. She was rushed to the district hospital from where she was referred to the Gorakhpur Medical College. The girl’s father and brother were informed.”
The school’s CCTV system was out of order, so there is no footage of the incident.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
