HK man arrested as suspect in convenience store robbery
The male suspect was very discreet by not staying more than one minute and touching no objects at the crime scene
Police arrested a 21-year-old unemployed man from Sha Tin on suspicion of robbing a convenience store of about US$385 in cash in Yau Ma Tei on Monday, they announced at a media briefing yesterday evening.
A search of his home yielded items of clothing that matched the description of the robber, together with a gun-shaped object that officers believe was used in the crime, local media reported.
The robber had spent no more than a minute at the scene, avoided putting his fingerprints on any items, Acting Superintendent Lam Chi-yuen of Yau Tsim District (Crime) said.
