HNA Group inks multiple international pacts
Major Chinese conglomerate invests in aviation, medical and asset management sectors in a flurry of activity
The HNA Group has signed consecutive contracts with multiple foreign companies just days apart, parking its money in aviation, medical and asset management sectors, The Paper reported.
On Sunday, Hainan Airlines, a subsidiary of the HNA Group, announced it has partnered with Vienna International Airport to open a regular direct international route between Shenzhen and Vienna. It will be the third direct flight to Vienna following Beijing and Shanghai.
Meanwhile another group firm, Hainan Chihang International Hospital, signed a training framework agreement with the Ogilvy & Mather Group.
HNA Group said the hospital will be completed in October 2018 and is scheduled to open in April 2019.
The group has also become the controlling shareholder of C-Quadrat, a private investment management company based in Austria.
In addition, on Tuesday the group signed a memorandum of business cooperation with Temasek, a Singapore-based investment firm.
