Huawei CEO sees bright future for artificial intelligence
Xu Zhijun, CEO of Huawei, says AI will likely have a huge impact on different companies and various sectors
Whether companies can equip themselves with artificial intelligence (AI) and use the technology to solve current and future issues is the key to winning future competition, said Xu Zhijun, CEO of Huawei, a leading Chinese smartphone brand, Caixin reported.
Xu thinks it may be very difficult for AI to mimic human beings in the coming 20 years, but it could outperform mankind in specific businesses.
Though AI is still in the primary stage, as a general technology, it will have a huge impact on different companies and various sectors, the report said.
Some industries could be totally overturned by AI, such as the automobile industry, medical institutions and education.
Xu urges companies in China to think about how to apply the technology and face the challenge of AI, as a new round of AI advances have just begun.
