India’s Infosys rocked by two high-profile resignations
Infosys' executive vice-president Sangita Singh and senior VP and global head of manufacturing and Edge products Nitesh Banga have resigned
India’s second largest software services firm Infosys Technologies has been rocked by two high-profile exits.
Sangita Singh, executive vice-president and head of its US$750-million healthcare and life sciences business, and Nitesh Banga, senior VP and global head of manufacturing and Edge products, have given notice of their intent to leave, Times of India reports.
Sangita joined under the tenure of former Infosys former CEO Vishal Sikka and was previously working with rival firm Wipro.
While Nitesh has now joined as chief operating officer of GlobalLogic, Sangita’s future plans are not known.
Banga’s exit from Infosys comes as a surprise, because he recently had to report directly to current CEO Salil Parekh.
Infosys has seen a spate of high profile exits since Sikka resigned in August last year, following continuous attacks from company founders and shareholders regarding corporate governance.
Sikka, a former SAP executive, was the first non-founder chief executive of Infosys and had remained at the helm for three years.
