The Filipino couple, who are asylum seekers in Hong Kong, have a young son
Police were called to intervene in a domestic dispute early Tuesday morning after a knife-wielding man threatened to injure his 39-year-old wife while arguing at their flat in Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon.
At 6am, the couple, both asylum seekers from the Philippines, had a quarrel at a guest house in Alhambra Building at 383-389 Nathan Road, Oriental Daily reported. The man brandished a knife and threatened to injure the woman but eventually left the apartment alone. The woman was not hurt.
The woman called the police as she was worried that her husband would hurt her and their young son.
Police are investigating the case and have categorized it as criminal intimidation, Sing Pao reported. No arrests have been made.
