Lifestyle: ‘Doctors’ may suffer from ‘Uncontrollably Fond’ fever
Just two more days to go. “Uncontrollably Fond,” the much-awaited KBS Korean drama, is set for a July 6 premiere and it will occupy the 10pm slot.
After a spate of interesting teasers and picture promos, the news that Bae Suzy will be lending her voice to the drama has hiked anticipation.
Entitled “Ring My Bell,” a recently released OST music video includes footage of Suzy in the recording booth. It is being stated that “Uncontrollably Fond” could be the next “Descendants of the Sun,” the K-drama that became a super-hit earlier this year breaking viewership records. “Doctors” that was released two weeks ago and recorded the highest viewership ratings will face a major challenge in “Uncontrollably Fond.”
Suzy will be starring alongside Kim Woo-bin in “Uncontrollably Fond.”
Yonhap reported that “Uncontrollably Fond” will expose an assorted set of feelings that one can experience when in love–excitement, passion, maturity, loss and separation.
“Writer Lee Kyung-hee used to say that she wanted to write a story that compares love’s different feelings to the different features of the four seasons,” said producer Park Hyun-seok during a press conference in central Seoul.
“It is not about one side of love but all different kinds of feelings one can feel as love deepens,” he said. “In a word, I would say love equals salvation.”
As the premiere of the 20-part drama nears, anticipation has hit a high. But will it live up to the hype? Wait and watch.
