Reuters reports that six people including Malaysia’s former ambassador to the U.S. were killed in a helicopter crash near Kuala Lumpur late Saturday night. The helicopter had been carrying guests back from a wedding reception for the Prime Minister’s daughter. Witnesses say they saw the helicopter explode in mid-air before crashing. Prime Minister Najib Razak spoke to reporters Saturday night. It’s too early for us to make conclusions, he said. But a thorough and comprehensive investigation will be carried out. Malaysian officials also confirmed that Najib’s chief of staff was also among those killed.
