Man accused of stabbing his Filipino wife to death in Korea

A Korean man has allegedly admitted to killing his younger Filipino wife – stabbing her to death after the couple had an argument.
Officers at the Yangsan Police Station in South Gyeongsang Province in Korea said the 59-year-old man called the police on Monday morning to say he had killed someone, The Korean Herald reported.
The man said he and his Filipino wife, 38, had an argument and he stabbed the woman and himself. Police said the couple got married seven years ago but there had been no reports of domestic violence throughout their marriage.
When police arrived at their home, the man was unconscious and was taken to a hospital immediately, while the woman had died from her injuries.
Police said the man’s injuries were not life-threatening.
Officers said they plan to request an arrest warrant once the man recovers from his injuries. An autopsy will be carried out to determine the exact time and cause of the Filipina’s death.
