Man charged with anal sex with mentally disabled woman
After the alleged incident, the woman went back the nursing home and told the staff, and police were notified
A 40-year-old man was charged at Kwun Tong Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday with having anal sex with a mentally disabled woman, which can carry a penalty of up to 10 years in jail on conviction.
Arshad Shah, a security guard for a construction site in Kowloon’s Yau Tong area, was arrested there on Sunday for allegedly having anal sex with a 27-year-old woman with a moderate mental disability, Apple Daily reported.
The court heard that on Sunday night, when the woman walked past the construction site in Yan Yue Wai, she was taken by the defendant into a booth inside the site and subjected her to anal intercourse. After the alleged incident, the woman went back to the nursing home where she lived and told the staff, and police were then notified.
Police arrested the man at the construction site eight hours later. He was charged with one count of buggery with a mentally incapacitated person, HK01.com reported.
The magistrate refused the defendant’s bail request and remanded him in custody.
