March Fed rate hike chances up to 70% after positive news
Goldman Sachs economists led by Jan Hatzius wrote overnight that the Fed is "seriously considering" a hike as some argue the "hard data" understate economic strength.

Goldman Sachs economists led by Jan Hatzius wrote overnight that the Fed is “seriously considering” a hike in light of stronger economic news. Economists who look at high-frequency data, including UBS’ Data Lab and Goldman Sachs’ economics group, think that the “hard data” (durable goods orders, retail sales) understate economic strength.
