A modest recovery in CapEx (with a lot to be modest about)
Survey shows an improvement over the past several years, but it is far from a boom
The Chicago Federal Reserve’s survey of capital spending and capital spending plans shows that companies are neutral about future capital spending plans, as opposed to negative during 2015 and 2016.
This is an improvement, but hardly a boom. It suggests that companies are waiting to see the whites of the eyes of the Trump tax plan before committing capital.
