News from the U.S. non-recovery: Real personal consumption down sharply
Real personal consumption fell by 0.1% in February, the second-biggest drop since the 2009 crisis. It was forecast to rise by 0.2%. That blasts another big hole in the consensus view that cheap oil will stimulate consumer spending.
