Police arrested three people for suspected drug trafficking in Wan Chai on Hong Kong Island on Wednesday and Thursday.
A man of Norwegian origin, aged 45, was arrested at 4pm on Wednesday in a flat at 502 Lockhart Road in Wan Chai for allegedly operating a drug den and selling illicit substances, Oriental Daily reported. They reportedly acted after a tip-off.
Police found 30 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 12 grams of suspected cannabis buds, five tablets of suspected Nimetazepam and two tablets of suspected ecstasy with an estimated street value of HK$28,000 (US$3,578).
At 1am on Thursday, an undercover detective, disguised as a customer, was approached and sold suspected drugs by a couple near 23 Luard Road in Wan Chai.
