A 21-year-old Portuguese man died after falling from a balcony on the 30th floor of iSQUARE, a shopping center in Tsim Sha Tsui. An initial police investigation found no suspicious circumstances and categorized the case as “a person falling from height.”

Thomas had enjoyed his dinner at a restaurant in the high-rise commercial mall. He left his backpack on his seat and went to the balcony to enjoy the night view. He was later found seriously injured on the sidewalk at around 10pm and was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.
