Officers from Hunei Precinct of Kaohsiung City Police Department took note of the silver SUV, which resembled one that had been previously been used to transfer gamblers to secret premises. The SUV was seen wandering around Alian district, The Real Daily reported on Friday.
According to police, the 49-year-old SUV driver was arrested at the scene after confessing that a residential unit he owned housed a gambling den.
When police raided the second-floor apartment, four illegal Indonesian migrants – three men and a woman whose travel documents had expired – were found inside.
They were all arrested for allegedly breaching their conditions of stay and referred to the National Immigration Agency.
