Health buffs may need to wait a month longer to get hold of Xiaomi’s newfangled fitness tracker. The company announced that its Mi Band 2 will hit the shelves sometime in June.

Unlike Xiaomi's other fitness bands, the Mi Band 2 will sport a silicon band and a display that looks like a watch.
Tech enthusiasts are speculating that Mi Band 2 will also serve as a remote to control Xiaomi’s upcoming drone.

The launch of Xiaomi’s Mi Band 2 was originally planned on May 10. However, the company’s CEO Lei Jun, in a press conference, announced that due to certain production issues, the launch has been delayed by a month.

Unlike the earlier fitness bands, the Mi Band 2 will sport a silicon band and a display that almost looks like a watch.

According to leaks and speculations on social media, the display will show the time along with other fitness related information.

Tech enthusiasts are speculating that Mi Band 2 will also serve as a remote to control Xiaomi’s upcoming drone.

The Mi Band and Mi Band 1s were both priced below $20. The cost of Mi Band 2 remains a mystery. However, technology reviewers state that it will be affordable.
