Telephone chat plan inspires street vendor’s chaat scheme
Customers enjoy unlimited pani puris on daily or monthly basis for set price
Inspired by the unlimited usage chat plans offered by telecommunications companies, a chaat (snack) vendor in Porbandar in Gujarat has adopted a similar approach to selling pani puris.
According to reports, Ravi Jagdamba has offered two unlimited eating schemes to the people eating at his stall: a Rs100 per day plan and a monthly one for Rs1,000.
His new marketing plan is already working wonders for the stall, Jio, which is named after the phone company, reported the Times of India. Jagdamba said he has already seen a dramatic increase in business.
