Three Germans sent to hospital after Lan Kwai Fong assault
The three tourists were left bleeding on the street after the seven men who attacked them disappeared during the early hours on Thursday
Police are hunting seven men who allegedly attacked three tourists from Germany in Lan Kwai Fong on Hong Kong Island in the early hours of Thursday.
A group of seven South Asian men tried to provoke the three tourists in a bar in Lan Kwai Fong, an area known as the city’s most noted nightspot, the Oriental Daily reported.
When the three men left the bar, the seven men attacked them on the street outside. The three tourists suffered head injuries and the seven men fled after the attack. Staff from the bar called police and the German men were sent to hospital for treatment.
Police immediately searched the area but no arrests were made. After checking surveillance camera footage, police are now searching for seven men aged between 25 and 35.
The case has been classified as assault occasioning actual bodily harm and is being handled by the crime unit of the Central Police District.
