A three-meter-long python was found on the hillside in Quarry Bay on Hong Kong Island on Tuesday.
A passerby saw the snake attack a cat at 5am on the hill by Tai Shing House on Quarry Bay Street, HK01.com reported.
The man called police after the snake swallowed the cat.
When the police arrived, they found the python, staying still with a bulge in its belly and hiding in a corner.
A snake handler managed to catch it within a few minutes.
The snake master said it was a female Burmese python, aged about 30 years old and weighing 20 kilograms, Oriental Daily reported.
