Two arrested in police drug raid in Tsim Sha Tsui
A 27-year-old asylum seeker and a 43-year-old illegal immigrant from Bangladesh were nabbed
Two men from Bangladesh were arrested in a police drug raid in Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon in the early hours of Friday.
Around midnight, a 27-year-old asylum seeker and a 43-year-old illegal immigrant were arrested in an apartment on Haiphong Road for allegedly operating a drug den and selling illegal substances, Oriental Daily reported.
Police say they found 102 grams of cannabis buds, 72 grams of ketamine, 33 grams of cannabis resin, 20 grams of methamphetamine, 27 grams of cocaine, 268 Ecstasy tablets and 18 “drug stamps”, all worth a total HK$110,000 (about US$14,000).
A total of HK$150,000 in cash and some drug-packaging tools were also confiscated, Sing Pao reported.
