Woman bites man’s tongue
43-year-old victim submits bloody tip as evidence when filing sexual assault complaint against neighbor who allegedly tried to kiss her
In order to protect her modesty, a Kerala woman bit off the tongue of a neighbor who allegedly tried to molest her on Monday night, according to media reports.
Police said the 43-year-old woman from Njarakkal, Vypeen, filed a complaint and submitted a 2 cm piece of severed tongue as evidence. She told them she bit off the tip of Rakesh MG’s tongue when he tried to force himself on her after she stepped out to use the toilet. He then fled the scene.
After she registered her complaint, the police alerted all city hospitals and soon found the accused, who was undergoing treatment.
Rakesh, 30, was booked under section 447 (criminal trespass), 354 (assault with the intention to outrage modesty of a woman) and 367 (attempt to rape) of the Indian Penal Code.
