A 49-year-old woman suffered a bloody head injury while sitting waiting for a bus in Mong Kok in Kowloon on Monday.
The incident occurred at 1pm, when the driver of a Kowloon Motor Bus on route 112 was going along Nathan Road towards Tsim Sha Tsui. As the driver surnamed Lau, 58, approached the bus stop in front of Bank Center, he had to suddenly turn to avoid hitting another bus ahead of him, Wen Wei Po reported.
The bus hit the bus-stop shelter and route signboard, breaking off its wing mirror, which flew and hit a woman surnamed Chan, who was sitting at the stop waiting for a bus.
The woman suffered a head injury, which began bleeding, and fell to the ground. The driver immediately stopped the bus and called the police. The woman was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital for treatment and later discharged.
