Xperia X: Sony focusses on camera to sell its new smartphone
Sony has introduced two brand new smartphones in India that will hit the shelves in July.
Xperia X and Xperia XA can go on for two days without charge, it claims. But its best selling point turns out to be a new camera technology that can quickly launch the photo app and enables fast photo capture.
While Xperia X is slated to be released on June 7 for Rs48,990, the Rs20,990 Xperia XA will be available from the third week of June.
Sony claims the smartphones are loaded with new layers of intelligent technology. Their cameras allow a user to shoot in sharp focus and take spontaneous photographs. Camera start-up is twice as fast and shots are captured in approximately 0.61 seconds, Scroll.in reported.
The “Predictive Hybrid Autofocus” in Xperia X series lets a user choose a subject and then predicts its motion. Xperia X features a 64 Bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor and Xperia XA has the 64 Bit MediaTek MT6755 processor.
In terms of camera, the device houses a 23MP main camera with 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS sensor, Predictive Hybrid AF, 5x Clear Image Zoom, 24mm wide-angle G Lens, and F2.0 aperture, and a 13MP front-snapper with 1/3-inch Exmor RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle lens and F2.0 aperture.
It has 3GB RAM, up to 32GB flash memory (single SIM and up to 64GB flash memory for dual SIM) expandable up to 200GB microSD card. It runs on Android marshmallow and has 2,620 mAh battery. It sports a 5.0-inch full HD TRILIMINOS display with 1,920×1,080 pixels (441 ppi pixel density).
Xperia XA has 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. It has 2GB RAM, up to 16GB onboard memory expandable up to 200GB microSD card. It also runs on Android marshmallow and has 2,300 mAh battery.
Xperia X and Xperia XA both have dual SIM capabilities and support 4G network. The devices will be available at all Sony centres, Xperia flagship stores, top mobile and electronic stores and online on Amazon.
Xperia XA sports a 5.0-inch HD Mobile BRAVIA engine 2 display technology with 1,280×720 pixels (294 ppi pixel density).
