Lenovo's IBM acquisition successful: chairman

BEIJING - The acquisition of IBM's PC unit by Lenovo has proved to be a success, according to Liu Chuanzhi, chairman of the board of Lenovo Holdings.

In the first quarter following the business integration, Lenovo's world PC sales reached 3.52 million units, occupying 7.7% of the global market, 7% more than in the same period last year, and 14% more than the previous quarter. The performance exceeded investors' expectations.
