Welch's grape juice enters China

SHANGHAI - Welch's grape juice products have entered the mainland Chinese market for the first time, and are now sold in 220 stores and supermarkets in Beijing and Shanghai.

Four types of Welch's grape juice products are now sold in China: 100% Concord grape juice, 100% white grape juice, 100% apple grape juice and 10% white grape/apple/peach juice. The company

says these products were selected for sale in line with the eating and drinking habits and tastes of the Chinese people.

Grape juice products are thought of by many Chinese as health care drinks and have the ability to prevent certain diseases. Recent medical research shows that Welch's 100% white grape juice is more suitable for babies and children, as the juice contains balanced fruit sugar and glucose and is more digestible than apple juice or pear juice.

Welch's brand, founded in 1869, has been a brand accepted by the American people as well as consumers around the world. The company, which produces fruit juices, soft drinks, jams, fruit snacks, and jellies, is the food processing and marketing arm of The National Grape Cooperative Association, which comprises 1,400 grape growers located in Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington, and the Canadian province of Ontario.
