SPEAKING FREELY
Palestine's bid: an open letter to Obama

Dear President Barack Obama,

Please sir, do not veto the upcoming formal application at the UN Security Council that states the Palestine nation exists and has every right to become a full member-state of the United Nations.

The Palestinian nation is much older than America. Unlike the US, it was not born out of genocide and slavery, nor was it born

out of colonial invasion and ethnic cleansing like "Israel". The Palestinian nation has, at the very least, the same rights as all nations under the sun.

For casting a second veto in one year against the Palestinian nation in the UN, your name will be cursed eternally by all Palestinians and their descendants for many generations to come, just as we often curse the name of corrupt war criminal, former president Harry Truman, who recognized "Israel" in 1948.

Palestine's tragedy remains the epicenter of Arab and Muslim grievances against (primarily) Britain, France, and the US. Your previous (on February 18) and upcoming veto against Palestine and its people displays open contempt to 14 million Palestinians, 350 million Arabs, and 1.5 billion Muslims.

A veto would be a catastrophic act, devastating to American national interests and to its relations with the rest of the world.

It will be understood as another Crusade against Palestine and against all Arabs and all Muslims. Such an ugly act being repeated twice in one year is an unprovoked, direct declaration of war against all Palestinians, Arabs, and Muslims.

America needs lots of friends to stop is decline. Zionists, however, have no loyalty to America and never were its friends, rather serving as manipulators, tormentors and exploiters. Almost always, the Zionists jump a sinking ship and move on to manipulate a new rising power elsewhere.

For the second time this year, you are declaring war on the very existence of the Palestinian nation, just to please Zionist masters in Washington, DC, and to selfishly serve your own political career.

On February 18, 2011 you vetoed the UN Security Council resolution to condemn illegal Jewish colonial settlements in the "West Bank" of Palestine. Your administration was alone in that act, against the wishes and stance of the whole "international community". All 14 other members of the UN Security Council condemned these illegal settlements.

Now, your underlings have declared your intention to use your UN veto again against recognizing Palestine as a member state in the UN. This is a calculated assault on the very humanity and existence of the Palestinian nation.

In a second veto, the overwhelming majority of Palestinians, Arabs, and Muslims would see solid evidence that you, sir, are truly anti-Palestinian, anti-Arab, and anti-Muslim in actions, despite all your misleading declarations to the contrary. Your actions speak louder than all empty words and speeches sold previously to Arabs and Muslims in Turkey and in Egypt.

You have reached the top of the pyramid of power in your nation, why do you need to take such a sectarian and fascist stand against a small nation far away that has done you and the US no harm?

With this war against Palestine and Palestinians, you sir, US ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are being horrifically selfish, looking out for your short-term political careers and personal fortunes, not for America's best long-term interests.

Where are your principles, morals and ethics as human beings? Why did they give you a Nobel Peace Prize?

How many Black men and women in power in Washington DC have obediently served the evil plans of Zionist colonial fascism in Palestine just to make a comfortable political career, so often almost totally at the expense of the Palestinian nation?

Former secretary of state Condoleezza Rice is already discredited worldwide for obediently serving Zionist Jewish neo-cons, with her toxic and fraudulent propaganda in warmongering.

Colin Powell, also former secretary of state, is also seen as obediently serving Zionist plans with his ugly lies at the UN about Iraqi "mobile chemical and biological trucks". Recently, former defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld said in an interview, "no one misled Powell, no one forced him to say what he said, he saw and read everything, and that was his decision".

Now there is you, and there is Susan Rice to follow the same exact self-degrading immoral path, at the obedient service of Zionist fascism, both in America and in occupied Palestine.

The Zionist Jews (those who claim to be liberals and progressive like the ones around you, and those who claim to be conservative right-wing) will use you, then lay all the blame you in the future saying you acted based on your own convictions.

America's Jews will not guarantee you another term in office. In fact, most likely, Osama bin Laden's death gave you a better chance at re-election than all the Zionist money, manipulation and blackmail.

Is de-legitimizing the humanity and existence of the Palestinian nation what it takes to be appointed to another "lame duck" term in office; just to obediently serve Israel and the Zionists in America and elsewhere?

Sincerely,
A Palestinian refugee
