Asia
Times Online presents a new audio service - or podcast - in MP3 format. You can
listen via computer, cell phone, iPod or other media player.
The podcast, updated each Sunday, covers the highlights of our reporting and
analysis of the previous week.
To listen in on a computer, simply click on the MP3 link, which will launch
Windows Media Player, Apple iTunes, or your default media software. If you want
to save the clip, right click the MP3 link, choose “Save Target As ...”, and
choose a location on your machine.
For readers who wish to subscribe (for free), and are familiar with podcasting,
click on the XML button for the ATol podcast, copy the URL for the XML feed
over to the program you use as your newsfeed aggregator (eg, SharpReader,
Mozilla Firefox, Thunderbird, etc ...) and enter it as a new feed. By
subscribing to the feed you will be notified automatically whenever there is a
new podcast available, with a convenient link for downloading it directly.
Many users of podcasts listen to them while commuting or working away from the
computer, as a way to complement their online experience. The MP3 format is
compatible with all popular audio devices and the podcast can be transferred to
them from your computer for you to listen to at your convenience. If you are
not familiar with transferring audio files from your computer to such audio
devices, please refer to the user’s manual for your device.
