Dr Mohamed Shainee is the Maldives' minister of fisheries and Agriculture. He has more than 10 years of experience in the technical, business and management aspects of fisheries and marine resources in Maldives. He is currently the lead representative in the All Party Talks and co-chairman of the Maldivian administration's Economic and Youth Council. He holds a PhD in offshore fish cage designing from NTNU, Norway; holds a Masters in Marine Management from Dalhousie University, Canada; MSc. in Marine Technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in marine technology from the University of Plymouth, UK.
