Vivek Pathak was appointed as the International Finance Corporation’s regional director for East Asia and the Pacific in October 2014. Based in Hong Kong, he leads IFC’s advisory and investment operations across 18 countries. Before joining IFC in 1998, he worked with Bank of America and ABN AMRO Bank in new business and risk management. In his capacity as head of risk management at ABN AMRO Bank Thailand, he was responsible for managing a large and diverse portfolio during the Asian financial crisis. Pathak holds a master’s degree in management from the University of Mumbai.
